KATHRYN HALYBURTON, DIRECTOR SOLICITOR

Kathryn is the Director Solicitor of Halyburton Legal. Upon the retirement of John Williams, long-standing partner of the previous firm, Kathryn continued to lead the way for the Toronto office. In 2017, Kathryn purchased the Toronto office and was pleased to formalise her ties with the Toronto community, the clients and staff.

Kathryn has been practising law since 2002 and has extensive experience in a range of legal areas including:

• Estates & Estate Litigation

• Property – buying, selling & leasing

• Small Business – buying & selling

• Estate Planning – wills, Power of Attorney and Appointment of Enduring Guardian

Kathryn has a strong commitment to ensuring her clients know they are valued. Whatever your need, Kathryn will do her best to make sure you receive good quality legal representation.

In her “other life”, Kathryn is married and is mum to 3 boys. She can usually be found on the sideline of a soccer game on the weekend being a very supportive (and somewhat loud, at times) soccer mum. Kathryn enjoys cooking when she has time and performs each year at Carols by the Beach at Empire Park.

LISA BOYD, Senior associate

Lisa is a solicitor with a Bachelor of Economics and Law degree from Newcastle University. Lisa was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2008, and begun practising law with a boutique Sydney law firm, before spending some time abroad in London. Upon her return home to Newcastle Lisa has gained experience in a wide range of legal areas through her work with suburban legal practices. Lisa now enjoys practising primarily in wills and estates, conveyancing and other general practice matters. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the great outdoors.

AMANDA DOUGLAS, senior associate

Amanda has been working in the Toronto area as a solicitor and appearing at court for over ten years. Amanda was admitted as a Solicitor in 2008 and has been a passionate and valued member of our team since early 2012. Amanda brought with her a background of experience in general practice, particularly in the areas of Criminal Law, Family Law and court litigation. Amanda continues to practise in these areas and also wills and estates. Amanda also brought with her knowledge of the local area, having grown up and lived locally.

Amanda has an interest in travel and sport. Whilst studying, Amanda also travelled overseas and worked locally in various roles. Amanda was a regular at Rathmines Tennis club for many years and previously held the position of Club Coach. Amanda is particularly appreciative of the benefits of living in Lake Macquarie. When not at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with friends & family locally.

JENNA INGRAM, associate

Jenna has been a member of our team since 2013 bringing with her an extensive knowledge of general practice including areas such as Family Law, Wills and Estate, Conveyancing and Estate Litigation. Jenna is diligent and thorough. She enjoys meeting clients and assisting them work through some of the difficult times and big decisions in life such as buying and selling a home and preparing a will.

CAITLIN SAUER, SOLICITOR

Caitlin is our most recent addition and together with our other solicitors, services our clients in multiple areas of law. Caitlin was admitted to legal practice in 2016 and started with Halyburton Legal in April 2021. Caitlin has impeccable work ethic and file management skills. Throw any type of matter at Caitlin and she will take care of it.

•  Caitlin enjoys a laugh in the office and is wise beyond her years, relating very well with all clients and personalities. Caitlin is kind, clever and industrious. She is a welcomed addition to the Halyburton Legal team.

GEOFF ZIETSCH, LICENSED CONVEYANCER

Geoff has been a licensed conveyancer for over 20 years and there is not much in residential conveyancing that he has not seen.  Geoff is always ready to assist whether you’re are buying or selling your home or investment property.
